Today I finished reading A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard, the American girl who was abducted by strangers and held hostage for 18 years. She suffered daily abuse and lived in an incredibly evil environment with a psychopath and his deranged partner.
I cried for Jaycee, for her children, her Mom and for all the Moms and Dads who long for their children and whose children cry for them.
I am encouraged by Jaycee's courage, her survival and the fact that she retained her sanity and integrity.
Don't give up hope ever. Read the book and do what you can to help children everywhere.
Jaycee has founded the JAYC Foundation - Just Ask Yourself to Care!
